Naming Ceremony

Its been more than a week, and Amma, appa still calling me as kutti, paapuu, ammu, jillu.... 
Time has come to decide a name for me. 


Velu thatha suggested to name with starting letters a, t, ta.. Amma was very strict with not choosing a name starting with 'T'.. she has her own weird reasons for that. 


Appa and Amma were seriously searching for a good name for me. 


Amma wanted to name me as Hashini or Poorvi. But Appa wanted to name me Ananya. 


Ananya turned out to be matching as per my star and numerology.. so thats how my name was decided to be "Ananya"


Every one was invited to the function and on 11th day after birth, I was named "Ananya" meaning "Unique", and in computer world it means "Not even a second".


Same day, I was introduced with the THOTTIL as well. Thottil gives a nice rocking feeling to make me to sleep. 

The Whole New World and Still Familiar

Phew... Lot of new things in the first few weeks of life. 


Strange lights, noises and things at my home.. A whole new world to me.. Till the time I was in amma's tummy, all I knew was Amma's heart beat, and amma, appa's voices and some strange sounds coming from cinema halls or TV. :-) Amma's tummy was so warm...mmm.... feel like getting in there again. 


But in reality, at home, there were way too many things for me to see, realize and get used to. 


The best place in the house was our room which had lot of kids photos. and I really loved the akka's photo posted just ahead of our bed. 


Next funniest or the play time for me was to watch the fan all the time. I love seeing the Fan running. If the fan is not running, I will immediately cry and make appa/ amma to turn on the fan. 


I get up 2-3 times in the mid night for the feed, and Giri patti was so helpful in making me so comfortable... 


It was a whole new world, but still felt familiar with the presence of amma. :-)

Ready to go Home

Finally on Sep 22nd, we were ready to go home.. All of us were excited to leave the hospital. 


Started from hospital in the evening and reached home around 6:30 pm.. Sumathi athai, Ovi and Cheziyan were there to welcome us. 


And as usual I was sleeping throughout my journey to our house. 

First minutes of separation from amma

I was slowly getting used to the environment around me and feeling comfortable in the warmth of amma. 


On Sep 20th, doctors suggested me to go through a test, for which I had to be taken away from amma. Appa and Giri patti along with the nurse took me to the test. Amma was crying uncontrollably because of the separation and I on the other hand was made to sleep throughout the time I was outside. This was the first time I was taken outside the hospital as well. 


The test results were positive for me and all of us were relaxed and were in peace. 

Stay at Hospital

Amma is still recovering from operation. All I do is to eat every 2 hrs and sleep. 
Appa was so busy shuttling between hospital and home to take care of amma's needs.
Both pattis kept starring at me to see what I am doing.
Whenever I am awake, we did some photo sessions. and Here is the sample of those

First Ray of Light

Hello every one, 


I am Ananya born on Sep 17th 2010 at St.Philominos Hospital. Bangalore. Here is my first look to the world.. 

Amma, Appa and Velu Thatha, Giri Patti and Maya patti were with me when I saw the first ray of light.. Got the first kiss and hug from my amma..so senti and sweet it was.... 


Every one was so happy and delighted with my arrival and full of emotions flooding in there. 


Ganesh mama family, Dhivya perimma family all came to see me today itself, Ovi akka, achu akka were so happy to see me, and gave me a gentle kiss and hug.. Sassta was starring at me.. :-) 


Many thanks to Dr.Suhashini for giving me and mom a healthy and safe delivery.


This is the first day me, mom together, and both of us are tired and sleeping throughout the day. so thats it for today.
